In his 25-year prosecution career, Attorney Ken Kratz handled many complex and high-profile cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, child abuse, and property crimes. Widely considered one of the state of Wisconsin’s best criminal trial attorneys, Kratz dedicated his career to advancing the rights of crime victims, serving as Chairman of Wisconsin’s Crime Victims’ Rights Board from its creation in 1997 until 2009.
For his work on the Teresa Halbach homicide case, Kratz has been asked to lecture throughout the country, and was named “Prosecutor of the Year” by the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators in 2008. Leaving the area of criminal litigation at the end of 2016, Kratz now enjoys his new career as true crime author, consultant, and speaker.
